Scholarships

We currently offer
3 scholarship levels

Primary Scholarships

This scholarship is for students aged 8 – 12 attending Sunday School at Beeston Street New Testament Church of God and enrolled in a government primary school. 

Applicants must submit the previous academic year’s report with a minimum grade of B or 70%, provide proof of age, and there’s a limit of one application per family. 

Secondary Scholarships

This scholarship is for secondary school students (grades 7–12) attending Beeston Street New Testament Church of God’s Sunday School.

Applicants must submit their last school report with a minimum grade of B, provide proof of age, and include a 300-word essay on how they plan to show appreciation through voluntary service to the church.

Tertiary Scholarships

This scholarship is open to tertiary institution students, including University, College, Community College, and Teachers’ College attendees.

Applicants must be active Christian members for at least two years, and submit an acceptance letter (for new students) or proof of attendance and examination results (for current students).

Participation in a minimum of four services per month is required, along with a 500-word essay outlining their strategy for giving back through voluntary service.

PRIMARY LEVEL APPLICANTS

  • Completed

    (3) Minister of Religion

SECONDARY LEVEL APPLICANTS

  • Birth Certificate
  • Last School Report
  • Two (2) Recommendations from any of the following persons:
    (1) Teacher
    (2) Justice of the Peace
    (3) Minister of Religion
  • Essay on how you plan to show appreciation through voluntary service to the church. – (No less than 300 words)

TERTIARY LEVEL APPLICANTS

  • Completed
  • Application Form
  • Passport Photo taken within One (1) year
  • Online Progress Report
  • Letter of Admission, where applicable
  • Two (2) Recommendations from any of the following persons:
    (1) Teacher/Lecturer
    (2) Justice of the Peace
    (3) Minister of Religion
  • Essay outlining your strategy for giving back through voluntary service – (No less than 500 words)

No, we don’t fund 100% of our beneficiaries’ education but we fund school fees primarily

Only one application is allowed per family.

Neither. We pay the fees directly to the schools and not to parents or students to avoid the money being used for something other than schooling

No. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews. Also, we can only give full study scholarships to a limited number of students yearly but students don’t make it can get one-off study grants but they can always apply the following year.

No. Our scholarships are divided into 3 levels; Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary, corresponding with the school level the applicant is in. Also, the scholarship sum awarded varies based on the student’s performance during our interview and other factors.

The scholarship is available for one year at a time and may/may not be renewed depending on criteria like academic performance, disciplinary record, church participation, etc.

For a scholarship to be renewed, the following documents are needed from beneficiaries:

1. Last school report
2. Community Service Log (Signed by Supervisor)
3. Church involvement evidence
